This Fabric Flower Tutorial was named after a beautiful Filipino-Japanese debutante named Mayumi who invited me in her debut party back in 2002. Inspired by the meeting of cultures, the Mayumi Rose has the sleek and precise lines of origami and the softness and grace of the fabric.
Ideal for beginners and advanced crafters, this fabric flower is so easy to make. You do not need to have any sewing skills in order to finish the Mayumi Rose. Being a visual learner myself, I am particular on how this tutorial was made. I used a lot (60) of colorful pictures with clear and easy to follow directions to thoroughly guide you in learning the art of flower making.
If you're a diy bride, you'll love the versatility of this fabric flower. You can use this in making your ring pillow, cake topper, wedding sash, table decor, and headbands for your flower girls and wedding bouquet.
There are two kinds of Mayumi Rose that I am going to teach you in this tutorial:
1. Basic Mayumi Rose Cabochon
2. Mayumi Rose With a Stem - for wedding bouquets and home decor
